I love coding, application security and social media (esp. interactive signage).

Ruby On Rails is my favorite tool. It is simple, agile and strong community.

Leisure activities are coding, attending meetups, playing CTF game, prototyping ideas.

 

Kind of started my techie life late. I was addicted to learning only after my UG degree.

Want to promote coding culture in Hong Kong and try my best to share what I know.

My Programming Experience

I always work in coder role because I don't like managerial role at all.

I had worked in Singapore for a year before, to explore more about IT businesses in other countries.

 

Most of my side projects were open source, for good and for fun. mainly Web and Mobile Applications.

Experienced in Ruby On Rails, Scala, Java, Android, iOS and Penetration Testing.

Sharing Events, Meetups and Conferences I attended

I believe that contribution is one of the ways to change the world and I love sharing stuff I knew.

Attending meetups are interesting and really helps enhancing my knowledge and network.

 

Favorite areas are Coding, Ruby and Hacking.

More active in Codeaholics and HKRoR groups but I would also attend startups occasionally.

My Academic Background

Tried switching back to academic field in Sep 2011 (HKUST MPhil in Social Media). However, I left the research team after 3 months, because I found real life practical product development more interesting.

 

Got my Computer Science degree in 2004 and then Computer Crime master in 2009.

I did take some industrial certificates during first few years after degree graduation.
